PARTICIPATION PACKS
1. What participation packs do you offer?
We offer three one-time participation packs:
Spotlight — 1 photo submission
Signature — 4 photo submissions
Prestige — 7 photo submissions
2. Are these subscription plans?
No. AVA currently works with one-time participation packs only. There is no monthly or yearly subscription.
3. Do packs renew automatically?
No. All packs are one-time purchases and do not renew automatically.
4. Can I buy another pack later?
Yes. You can purchase a new pack at any time. New submission credits will be added to your account.
5. Can I use my credits later?
Your credits remain available in your account as long as they have not been used, subject to the current contest rules.
6. What payment methods do you accept?
We accept secure online payments by bank card and other encrypted international payment methods.
PHOTO SUBMISSION RULES
7. What file formats are accepted?
JPEG / JPG only, up to 20 MB per photo.
8. What image resolution do you recommend?
Minimum: 2000 px on the longest side.
Recommended: 3000–4000 px, sRGB color profile.
9. Are watermarks allowed?
No. Watermarks, borders, signatures, or logos are not allowed.
10. Do you keep EXIF metadata?
Yes, but metadata is not shown to judges or to the public.
11. Is AI-generated content allowed?
Yes, but only if clearly declared at the time of submission. Undeclared AI-generated content may result in disqualification.
12. Can I edit or replace my submission?
This depends on the contest stage and the current rules. In general, changes are only possible before the deadline if allowed by AVA.
13. How many photos can I submit?
It depends on your pack:
Spotlight — 1 photo
Signature — 4 photos
Prestige — 7 photos
14. Can I submit older photos?
Yes, as long as you own all rights to the image.
15. Can I submit a photo that has already won another contest?
Yes. However, if the image has already received major international recognition, it may affect its originality in the eyes of the jury.
16. Are composite or heavily edited images allowed?
Yes, provided that you own all visual elements used and the final image respects the contest rules.
17. What if my upload fails?
Please try refreshing the page, using Chrome or Safari, or reducing the file size if necessary.

JUDGING & SELECTION
18. How are photos judged?
Photos are evaluated according to artistic vision, visual impact, technical quality, creativity, emotion, and storytelling.
19. Is judging anonymous?
Yes. Judges review finalist images anonymously, without access to personal identity details.
20. Who are the judges?
The jury may include photographers, art directors, editors, and other creative industry professionals.
21. Is judging fair and unbiased?
Yes. AVA uses an anonymous judging process to ensure fairness and impartiality.
AWARDS & PRIZES
22. How many winners are selected?
Each contest highlights a selection of winners according to the official AVA contest format and ranking.
23. What are the cash prizes?
Current prize structure:
1st Prize — €1,000
2nd Prize — €500
3rd Prize — €200
4th to 10th — €100 each
24. What do winners receive besides prize money?
Depending on the final ranking, winners may also receive editorial visibility, a certificate, a winner badge, publication opportunities, and other forms of recognition.
25. When will I receive my prize money?
Cash prizes are paid within 90 days after the contest ends, provided that all requested information has been correctly submitted.
26. How are prize payments made?
Prize payments are generally made by bank transfer or another approved payment method.
27. What happens if I do not send my banking details?
If the required payment information is not provided within the requested time, the prize may be cancelled.
COPYRIGHT & IMAGE RIGHTS
28. Do I keep the rights to my photos?
Yes. You remain the full copyright owner of your work.
29. Can AVA sell or license my photos to third parties?
No. AVA does not sell, license, or transfer your images to third parties.
30. Where may my photos appear if selected or awarded?
Selected or winning images may appear on:

AVA social media
newsletters
results pages
winner features
partner editorial platforms such as Lookbook Magazine
31. Is this usage exclusive?
No. Any use by AVA is non-exclusive.
32. Can I request deletion of my photos?
Non-winning images may be removed depending on the contest stage and archive status.
33. Why can winning photos remain archived?
Winning images may remain in AVA archives, results pages, and editorial communication for transparency and historical record.
CONTENT RULES
34. Are nude photos allowed?
Yes, artistic nude may be accepted if it is non-pornographic, respectful, and compliant with all applicable rules.
35. What content is forbidden?
Forbidden content includes pornography, hate speech, unlawful material, exploitation, explicit sexual content, graphic gore, harassment, or copyrighted material you do not own.
36. Are photos of minors allowed?
Yes, but only with full legal responsibility, respectful representation, and no nudity or inappropriate content.
CONTEST RULES & DEADLINES
37. How do I know the current deadline?
The official deadline is shown on the website and on the active contest pages.
38. When are results announced?
Results are announced according to the official AVA competition calendar.
39. Can I participate more than once?
Yes, as long as you still have submission credits and follow the contest rules.
40. Are all categories always open?
Not necessarily. Available categories may vary depending on the active contest.

41. How do I create an account?
You can create your account during registration or during the purchase process.
42. I cannot log in. What should I do?
Please try a password reset, a different browser, or private / incognito mode.
43. Are payments secure?
Yes. AVA uses secure and encrypted payment systems.
