The image as an artistic language

Her approach values images that express a personal vision and provoke a response. Technical skill forms part of her assessment alongside creativity, visual impact, emotion and storytelling. A perfectly executed photograph should also have something to say. Her guided learning of photographic and artistic analysis is based on the evaluation guidelines defined by Art Vision Awards and tested through several photographic trials.

Her perspective within the jury

Sanne examines each image and gives it a whole-number score from 1 to 10. Her vote carries the same weight as each other juror’s vote. She contributes her own assessment to a collective selection, where differences in sensitivity are part of artistic judgement. Art Vision Awards supervises the process and remains responsible for the competition results.

A virtual identity, transparent participation

Sanne is represented by a Dutch virtual character associated with Amsterdam. Her name, identity and portrait are fictional, created using artificial intelligence. Art Vision Awards designed this identity to embody its AI juror and clearly inform photographers of her nature.Meet the jury
